Sustainability in emerging markets: lessons from South Africa

Sustainability can no longer be considered apart from an organisation’s core strategy. Addressing the triple bottom line – the economic, social and environmental outcomes – within business has key implications for long-term success. This background report traces both the emergence of corporate responsibility issues and their impact in emerging markets.
