Important changes to online exam entry

August 2008

Our updated exam entry process aims to provide you with a better service. By the CIMA Contact team.

CIMA has made some important changes to the way you enter for exams online. This has been done in order to provide better security and improve the study support we provide.

Methods of study and tuition providers
When you are booking your exams online you can now select up to two methods of study.

Students who use a college or tuition provider, will also be asked to select their tuition provider when entering.

This information will help us monitor the quality of our tuition providers and get a more accurate view of pass rates according to different methods of study. It will contribute to CIMA's continuing development of study support materials and providers to help you pass your exams.

New security measures
In line with global changes to online credit card payment security, we are adding Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode to our online payment process. These services offer increased security when paying online using a credit or Maestro card by asking for a password to process the payment.

If you are not already registered with these services when the system is implemented, you will be prompted to do so the first time you make a payment on our website using Visa or MasterCard. The technology is called 3-D Secure. It works like a pin number, except that you choose a password instead of a four-digit number, which you will then be asked to enter every time you make a payment online.

Registering is straightforward, takes less than a minute, and you only have to do it once. Your password will work for all online retailers who use Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode.

For more information please follow the links below for your relevant card.

Please enter early
With these changes in mind, we recommend that all students book their exams early this year. While following the process, please take your time, read the instructions carefully and make sure you complete all the correct fields. Exam entry is always a busy period on our website. If you leave your entry to the last few weeks, your preferred centre may not be available and CIMA Contact will be very busy assisting students with their queries.

Queries?
If you have any queries please check the website to see if your question is answered there or contact CIMA Contact (cima.contact@cimaglobal.com) or your nearest office.
