What will the world of accountancy look like in 10 years’ time? That is to be the theme of CIMA chief executive, Charles Tilley’s, address to the World Congress of Accountants 2010 (WCOA) in Malaysia.
Tilley (pictured) will join a distinguished line up of speakers which also includes Alfred Ramosedi FCMA of Nedbank and Roger Simnett of the University of New South Wales.
The congress - whose overall theme will be ‘Sustaining value creation’ - runs every four years. It is expected to attract 6000 delegates and all IFAC bodies are represented.
The event is to be held in Kuala Lumpur on 8 to 11 November.
CIMA is a gold sponsor of WCOA. This event fits in with our aim of ensuring a global reach to all members, students, prospects, employers and many other partners; and of maximising CIMA and its partners' influence in the accounting world.
In the lead up to WCOA, CIMA will hold a number of events across the globe highlighting the topics to be featured at the Congress. Watch out for details of these events in future editions of Insight.
