Study for a degree through CIMA

CIMA has partnered three UK universities to offer students the opportunity to get a degree while also studying towards their CIMA qualification.

Universities participating in the scheme are:

  • Manchester Metropolitan University 
  • Robert Gordon University
  • Nottingham Trent University.

Format Online distance learning. Sponsored in company along with five/six intensive study weeks a year at NTU. Online distance learning.
Entry requirements Registered CIMA student or member and attained a pass mark in all three papers at the management level. 300 UCAS points or a BTEC national diploma with distinction profile. 
At least a C-grade in GCSE English and maths (or equivalent).
Maths or science A level an advantage but not essential.  
IB diploma: 26
GCE A-Level: CCC
SQA higher: BBCC
ILC higher: BBC1C1  

Alternative qualifications and work experience also considered, on an individual basis.
Duration Flexible, but can be studied in one year, maximum time allowed three years.   Three years. Three to six years.
CIMA qualification level required to start degree A pass mark in all three papers at the management level of the professional syllabus is required. None. None.
CIMA qualification achieved on completion of degree As per entry qualification level. The strategic level exams need to be sat externally in the third year. It is possible for the CIMA qualification to be achieved in approxmately four years. CIMA advanced diploma in management accounting.
Degree BA (Hons) sustainable performance management. BA (Hons) in management and finance BA accounting (with CIMA advanced diploma).
