Tuition providers with learning quality partner status have proved to us that they offer the very best in CIMA tuition. They meet all our key performance indicators.
What you should expect
Our tuition providers should meet standards in five priority areas for you:
1) Who is teaching you?
Your tutors should be suitably qualified, meet regularly as a team to discuss course issues, have their performances monitored and be developing their skills through CPD.
2) How is the course delivered?
You should have one main point of contact to coordinate your course. Your course should have tuition and revision components. Teaching methods should be varied and reflect your needs, and records of your attendance should be kept.
3) What support is available?
There should be advice on course requirements, paper choices and exemption decisions. Assignments should be set, marked and returned to you in specified timeframes. You should have practice exam sessions, and feedback. You should also have ongoing progress reviews.
4) Provider performance review
Your provider should have a detailed annual course review. You should be given one interim feedback form during the first term and another form at the end of the course. Pass rate statistics for each subject should be produced, and poor feedback and pass rates should be followed up.
5) Innovation and development
Your tuition provider should demonstrate innovation in areas like student support and course delivery – for example, web enabled support. Your provider should also be flexible and swift to respond.
CIMA learning listed providers
These colleges are not accreditated by CIMA and have not been formally assessed against any of the standards set, although they have been asked to run their courses as per our guidelines for effective course delivery (PDF 78KB). We strongly recommend that students carry out their own research before attending these colleges.
