Australasian regional board formed
CIMA's Australasian regional board (ARB) has been formed and replaced the CIMA councils of Australia and New Zealand from 1 July 2011. Members of the new board will serve a term of three years until the 2014 AGM. See more information on the ARB.

Adjudicators needed for Australasian reporting awards
The Australasian reporting awards (ARA) are always looking to increase their potential adjudicators. If CIMA members are interested in this type of voluntary activity, it involves the marking and assessment (against quantitative and qualitative criteria (financial and non-financial) of around eight annual reports in February/March, which on average take about two to three hours each.

There are ten divisions based along industry sector lines and adjudicators can be based anywhere in Australia. The ARA website provides information on the process of award assessment.

2010 news

CIMA 2010 business breakfast
Former Australian prime minister the Rt Hon Mr Malcolm Fraser spoke at our recent business breakfast in Sydney, and afterwards signed copies of his new book Malcolm Fraser: the political memoirs.

In addition, FINSIA CEO Dr Martin Fahy delivered an excellent presentation for our members and guests. A copy of Dr Fahy's presentation is available below, and photos and a video of the event will be added soon.

2010 annual general meeting
The 2010 AGM was held in Canberra in June with the Australian Department of Defence CFO, Phillip Prior, presenting to more than 60 members and guests. Copies of the president's report and AGM minutes are available below.
