CIMAplus is an exclusive CIMA member service. It helps you meet most of your continuing professional development (CPD) needs. 

As a CIMAplus subscriber, you can save hundreds of pounds with the subscription. In 2011, its minimum value was £533*.

CIMAplus complements the existing range of free CPD resources we already provide you with as a member. You can also customise your individual CPD needs with CIMAplus.

CIMAplus subscribers can select and access two online courses from the full CIMA on demand online course catalogue at no cost.

Access to the courses will be made available for the full year during your CIMAplus subscription.

How to select and access your two free courses

1. Visit the dedicated CIMA on demand website. 

2. Complete the Registration on the CIMA on demand website.

3. Once you have registered, browse the course catalogue on the site and select the two courses you wish to access.

4. Email the customer services team on enquiries@cimaondemand.com to request the two free courses you have selected.

Please remember to quote the following information when contacting the enquiries team to ensure that you receive access to the courses at no cost:

Full name
Titles of chosen courses.

Once it has been verified and confirmed that you are a CIMAplus subscriber, the booking for the two courses will be completed. An email to confirm will be sent to you together with instructions on how you can access your courses.

About CIMA on demand

CIMA on demand provides a minimum of 30 online courses in both technical and business soft skills to support finance professionals in the following areas:

• Management Accounting
• Accounting Updates
• Corporate finance and Treasury
• Financial reporting

• Business Skills

• Personal and Management Skills

The courses are developed by experienced experts in their field and are quality assured by the CIMA faculty.

Each course has a running time of between 30 and 75 minutes and also includes knowledge checks and quizzes to help reinforce and ensure understanding.

As such the courses provide between 1 hour and 1.5 hours of CDP credits, for those that need to record credits. The course catalogue is updated and added to each year to ensure that content is up to date and new courses introduced meet the changing requirements of finance and business professionals.

The CIMA Centre of Excellence is an innovative research centre and collaboration between CIMA and the University of Bath School of Management.

The total cost of CIMAplus is £80 plus VAT for an annual subscription. This subscription gives unlimited access to all products and resources.

When will my CIMAplus subscription expire?

A CIMAplus subscription provides you with access to all the products and services for 12 months in line with your CIMA membership, January to December.

Buying CIMAplus when you renew your membership

CIMAplus is available to buy from October to December 2011. You can pay for it separately or at the same time you renew your membership online.

All you need to do is to add CIMAplus to your financial statement. It only takes a minute and has been incorporated into the four step membership renewal process:

1. Login.
To renew your membership and buy CIMAplus, you will need to log into My CIMA using your unique contact ID. If you have forgotten your password you can request one.

2. Renew your membership.
Choose ‘settle your account’. Here you will have the opportunity to opt in to subscribe to CIMAplus.

3. Declaration.
This is where you are asked to confirm you are happy to undertake CPD as part of self certification and agree to comply with the Laws of the Institute, The Royal Charter, Bye laws and Regulations and Code of Ethics.

4. Make payment.
You will be able to make payment to settle your account.

This will mean paying your membership fee for 2011, buying CIMAplus and settling any other outstanding fees on your account.

You will be able to pay immediately or defer payment if need be. Thereafter you will receive confirmation and instructions on how to access CIMAplus.

Buying CIMAplus after you renew your CIMA membership.

You can still subscribe to CIMAplus even after you’ve renewed your membership.

To buy CIMAplus, you just need to log into My CIMA using your unique contact ID. If you’ve forgotten your password you can always request one.
