Speaker Details

Roy Barden BA (Econ), MBA, FCMA

Roy has 16 years’ experience of leading large programmes of change which transform the support functions of organisations and is a recognised thought leader in shared services and outsourcing. He has worked in both the public and private sectors, across many industries, in organisations including GSK, BP, Xerox, UK Department of Education and Morgan Stanley, helping them to design, implement and operate both in-house and outsourced shared services. Roy built his experience initially in Price Waterhouse and then within niche consultancies before leading the Global Business Services Advisory practice for the Hackett Group.

Prior to consultancy, Roy spent 13 years in the finance functions of multinational firms in the paper and chemical industries culminating in holding the Finance Director role for Zeneca Resins.

Outline

The programme will cover the development and delivery of service delivery models including shared services, outsourcing and off shoring and will allow you to develop your own thinking in order to choose the right blend of these ingredients for you. It will lead you through the shared service/outsourcing maze and help you decide:
