Delegation for success

Skilful delegation is one of the most important management skills and yet it is notoriously difficult for managers to master. When done well, there are huge benefits for the manager, the employee and the organisation as a whole. Successful delegation enables staff to learn, develop and grow, frees up the manager's time for new challenges and responsibilities. It also finds the most efficient and cost-effective use of an organisation's resources.

This half day programme is fun and highly interactive. Delegates will have lots of practice at delegating skilfully and will receive individual coaching on their performance. The course is results-focused, so participants will be asked to identify at least one task that they need to delegate when they get back to work. They will also leave with a written delegation action plan.

This course is designed for all managers who want to master the crucial art of delegation.

The speaker will be drawn from a pool of qualified professionals who specialise in this subject. Having worked for leading organisations they will relate the course content to real life case studies.

The workshop aims to enable you to:

• know when and how to delegate and to whom
• realise what stops you from delegating and learn effective solutions
• accurately assess each individual’s suitability for a task
• get the right balance of supervision for each individual, without micro-managing
• communicate each task so that your staff know exactly what is expected and are motivated to do it
• develop a stronger, more cohesive and productive team by growing its capability and capacity to get the job done in the most efficient and cost-effective way
• free up time to take on higher value tasks for yourself and the organisation.

The course runs from 9.30am to 12.45pm. Refreshments are included.
